An online photo gallery is the easiest way to share your photos and stories with the world and the Doteasy Hosted Gallery lets you add an online photo gallery to your website with just a few clicks: one-click installation, one-click upload and one-click publish.
Under the Web Tools section, select Create Doteasy Hosted Gallery (FREE!)

Select a Photo Gallery plan. For more information, please refer to Storage Account Plans.

You will be asked to confirm your payment details. Please be reassured that you will not be billed if you have chosen the Photo Gallery Basic package.
NOTE: Requests for the Photo Gallery Enhanced and the Photo Gallery Professional packages will be completed within 24 hours. Requests for the Photo Gallery Basic package will be completed immediately. A confirmation email will be sent to you once your photo gallery is ready for activation and setup.

Click on the Activate Hosted Gallery Now! link in Member Zone.

Complete the Create a Gallery Account form. When you are ready, click on the Create Gallery Account button.
Signing into your Doteasy Hosted Gallery
Once you have completed the Gallery Account Creation step, you will be redirected to your new gallery URL.
The Create Doteasy Hosted Gallery link in your Member Zone will become Launch Hosted Gallery. You can sign into your gallery via this link.
Alternatively, you can use the Administrator Sign In link on the bottom of your gallery page.
Updating your User Account Information

Click on the Edit User Info on the gallery sidebar.

Enter your new account information and click on the Save button when you are ready.
Changing Your Gallery Admin Password

Click on the Edit User Info on the gallery sidebar.

Enter your new account password and click on the Save button when you are ready.
Customizing Your Gallery Header
The Doteasy Hosted Gallery Customize Header section allows you to customize your gallery's header including the background image or color, divider color, title, logo and description text.

Click on the Customize Header link on the gallery sidebar.

This section allows you to customize the header of your gallery.
Header Background Image and Color
Background Image
You can add/change a background image to your gallery header by clicking on the Select button. A pop-up window will open allowing you to choose a background image from the built-in Image Library.
Background Color
You can change your header background color by entering the color code into the textbox. You can also click on the color box to open the Color Picker window.
Header Divider Color - You can change the header divider color by entering the color code into the textbox or using the Color Picker.
Header Title - You can change your gallery title here.
Header Logo - You can add your logo to your gallery header. Use the Browse button to locate the logo file on your computer.
The max. file size is 100KB.
The optimal size for the logo is 218 x 67. Logo files of other dimensions will be resized to satisfy this dimension.
Make sure to check the Display Logo checkbox.
Header Description - If you wish to include a gallery description in your gallery header, you can enter the text in the textarea. HTML is supported. You can also change the font style and size.

When you are ready, click on the Save button.
If you wish to restore your header back to the default settings, click on the Reset to Default button. All changes you have made to the gallery header will be removed.
You can use the Preview button to preview the changes.
Customizing Your Gallery Footer
The Doteasy Hosted Gallery Customize Footer section allows you to customize your gallery's footer including the background image or color, home page URL and gallery link title.

This section allows you to customize the footer of your gallery.
Footer Background Image & Color
Background Image - You can add/change a background image to your gallery footer by clicking on the Select button. A pop-up window will open allowing you to choose a background image from the built-in Image Library.
Background Color - You can change your footer background color by entering the color code into the textbox. You can also click on the color box to open the Color Picker window.
Link and Fonts - You can change your footer link color and font type and size.
Footer Divider Color - You can change the footer divider color by entering the color code into the textbox or using the Color Picker.
Home Page URL - The Home Page URL is an optional link that allows you to link your gallery to your website?s homepage. If you do not want to show a link to your website, you can simply leave the input area blank.
Footer Link Title - In the footer, there is a link to your main Photo Gallery page. You can customize this field to change the link name.

When you are ready, click on the Save button.
If you wish to restore your footer back to the default settings, click on the Reset to Default button. All changes you have made to the gallery footer will be removed.
You can use the Preview button to preview the changes.
Customizing the Body of Your Gallery Page
The Doteasy Hosted Gallery Customize Main Page section allows you to customize your gallery's main page including the background image or color and your album listing's font type and color.

Body Background Image & Color
Body Image - You can add/change a background image to your gallery main page by clicking on the Select button. A pop-up window will open allowing you to choose a background image from the built-in Image Library.
Background Color - You can change your gallery page's background color by entering the color code into the textbox. You can also click on the color box to open the Color Picker window.
Album Listing
Album Box Border Color - Every album displayed in the main play has a border. You can change the border color through the color picker.
Text Color, Font Type and Link Color

When you are ready, click on the Save button.
If you wish to restore your gallery page back to the default settings, click on the Reset to Default button. All changes you have made to the gallery body will be removed.
You can use the Preview button to preview the changes.
Customizing Your Gallery Statistics
The Customize Statistics page allows you to customize your photo gallery's statistics, e.g. whether to display the stats on your main photo gallery page.

Click on the Customize Statistics link on the gallery sidebar.

If you do not wish to display the statistics on your main photo gallery page, uncheck all the boxes.

When you are ready, click on the Save button.
Create a New Album
The Doteasy Hosted Gallery stores files inside albums, so you will need to create at least one album for your pictures to be placed in.

Click on the Create Albums link on the gallery sidebar. Alternatively, you can click on the Add New Album on the Manage Albums page.

Enter the album name and the album description.
Your album description can be up too 1000 characters. However, only the first 100 characters of an album description will be displayed on the gallery page.
If you do not want to display the album description on your galley page, simple leave the Display Album Description checkbox unchecked.

When you are ready, click on the Create button.
Manage an Album
The Manage Album function allows you to Add Photos, Manage Photos, Customize Album Settings, Publish Album, and Delete Album.

Click on the Manage Album button of the album you need to manage. You can also click on the album name. The Album Settings page will open.

Click on the Customize Album Settings tab.

Rename an Album
The Manage Album function allows you to Add Photos, Manage Photos, Customize Album Settings, Publish Album, and Delete Album.

Click on the Manage Album button of the album you need to manage. You can also click on the album name. The Album Settings page will open.

Click on the Customize Album Settings tab.

This will open the Customize Album Settings page. Enter a new name for the album.

Once you have made the changes, click on the Save button.
Publish an Album
By default, albums are not auto-published. In order for the album to be displayed on your gallery page, you will need to publish it.

Click on the Manage Album button of the album you need to manage. You can also click on the album name. The Album Settings page will open.

Click on the Publish This Album tab.

This will open the Publish Album page. Click on the Yes button to publish the album.
View and Sort Albums
You can view your albums in different order based on view and sort criteria.
View: You can choose to list all the albums, published albums, or unpublished albums.
Sort: You can sort the album display order by Most Recently Created, Least Recently Created, Album Name Ascending (a-z), Album Name Descending (z-a), Most Recently Updated, and Least Recently Updated.
Page: Each gallery page will contain a maximum of 6 albums. Additional albums will be showcased on subsequent pages.
Delete an Album
Note: The deletion of an album is irreversible - once an album is removed it cannot be recovered. All the photos inside an album will be deleted along with the deletion of that album.

Click on the Manage Album button of the album you need to manage. You can also click on the album name. The Album Settings page will open.

Click on the Delete this Album tab.

This will open the Delete Album page. Click on the Yes button to delete the album.
Add Photos

Click on the Manage Album button of the album you need to add photos to. You can also click on the album name. The Album Settings page will open.

Click the Browse button to select the photos to upload to your gallery. You can upload multiple photos at a time.

After you have chosen all the photos to upload, click the Upload button.
Note:
The Doteasy Photo Gallery only supports photos saved in JPEG, JPG, GIF, or PNG format.
The maximum photo size and the maximum of total photos allowed to be stored in your album(s) depend on your plan. For information about your limit, please see Storage Account Plans for more details.
Edit Photo Information
You can edit uploaded photos by clicking on the Edit Photo Info icon under the photo thumbnail.

Click on the Manage Photos tab on the Album Settings page.

Click on the Edit Photo Info icon underneath the particular thumbnail of the photo you want to edit the information.

This will open the Edit Photo Info window. You can change any content in the text fields: Label, Description and Tag.

When you are ready, click on the Save button to save the changes.
Note:
Label: This is the name of the photo. It can only be seen by the admin on the Edit Photo Info page. It's a required field.
Description: It has a limit of 1000 characters. There's a character counter in the lower right corner showing how many allowed characters are left while you are typing in the Description field.
Tag: It's like category or subject used for photo category search by the visitors. You can choose multiple tags from the Tags box to its right by clicking on each tag link.
Rotate Photos
You can click on the Rotate icons to rotate a photo 90 degrees to the left or to the right. You will find these rotate icons underneath each photo thumbnail.
Delete Photos

To delete individual photos, check the checkbox next to the image thumbnail.

After you have selected the photos, click on the Delete Selected Photos on this Page link.
Note: The photo deletion process cannot be reversed. Once a photo is deleted, it will be removed permanently.
Account Statistics
The Account Statistics in the sidebar display the information about your account usage. For information about your gallery limit, please see Storage Account Plans for more details.
Here's an example how to read the plan stats:
813 of 50000 photos: This account has a max. quota of 50000 photos and so far there are 813 photos uploaded to the gallery.
19 of 5000 albums: This account can have a max. of 5000 albums and there are currently 19 albums created.
18833 MB of 200000 MB disk storage free: This account has disk storage quota of 20000 MB and there is 188333MB of free space still available.

Exceed Account Limits
If you have overreached your limits, your gallery will be disabled, and an error will be displayed on your gallery main page. Visitors will not be able to view your albums or photos.
You can still log into your admin account. However, most of the admin functions will be disabled and there will also be an error message on the Admin's Main page.
The links of the functions to Create Albums, Gallery Customization, Add Photos, Customize Album Settings, and Publish/Unpublish this Album will be removed from the sidebar and the relevant pages. You can only view albums, delete or view photos, delete album, and edit user info.
After you have deleted unwanted photos and/or albums and your account has been brought back to within-quota limits, all the gallery functions will be restored and the error messages will be removed.
If you have exceeded your account limits and no further action is taken within 30 days, all albums and photos in your gallery will be removed and your Doteasy Hosted Gallery account will be deleted. If you wish to use the Doteasy Hosted Gallery again, you will need to re-create your Gallery account.
Reset to Default
If you wish to restore your album to the default settings, you can click on the Reset to default link or button found on the page.
Note: Once you restore default settings, any customization and changes you have made to the album will be lost instantly.
Zoom-in and Zoom-out
Your photos can be viewed in 3 different sizes - Small, Medium and Large.
You and your viewers will find the Zoom menu on your photo album page.
Click one of the 3 links (Small, Medium and Large) to alternate the size of the displayed image
Download Photo
The Download Photo link is only displayed if you have opted to allow photo download. You can change the settings via the Manage Album page.
When a viewer clicks on the Download Photo link, the photo in the original size will be opened up in a separate window to allow the viewer to save/download the photo on to their computer.
View Photo Info
The View Photo Info link is only displayed if you have opted to display the information on the album page. You can change the settings via the Manage Album page.
Information to display includes the dimensions of the photo, the size of the file, the uploaded date and the photo’s Exif Data.
Permalinks
A permalink is simply a direct link that points to a specific album. Permalinks allow you to easily add a direct link to your gallery: blog, forum and even email.
The album's Permalink link is only displayed if you have opted to display it on the album page. You can change the settings via the Manage Album page.
When a viewer clicks on the link, the Album Permalink box will open. They can then easily copy the link provided in the textarea.
Set Privacy Control
Privacy Control allows you to securely share your personal or private pictures only with people whom you allow access to.

Click on the Manage Album button of the album you wish to set privacy control. You can also click on the album name.

Click on the Customize Album Settings tab. This will open the Albums Settings page.

You will find the Set Album As Private checkbox underneath the "Album Name" field. Check that box if you wish to enable privacy control for the album.

When you are ready, click on the Save button.
Tell A Friend
You get full control over as to who gets access to your album and who doesn't. This can be managed by the new Tell A Friend function.
Private Albums are only visible to visitors you have assigned to theprivate albums. These visitors will need to login to your Gallery with the assigned ID and password, which is sent to them along with your private album invitation and the album sign-in link.

Click on the Manage Album button of the album you wish to set privacy control. You can also click on the album name.

Click on the Tell A Friend tab. This will open the Tell A Friend page.

Enter the email address of the people whom you wish to allow access to view the private album.

Enter the Subject and an optional message.

When you are ready, enter the security code as shown on your screen and click on the Save button.
An invitation will be sent to the email address(es) you have provided. Included in the invitation email is the Friend account login information and the link to the signin page. Your friend will need to login to your Gallery using the ID and password in order to view the private album.
Your friends can also use the Sign In link found on your Gallery footer.
Manage Address Book: Add Friend

Click on the Manage Address Book link on the gallery sidebar.

Click on the Add Friend button.

Fill in the required fields. Note that you can provide a password for the Friend account or you can use the password generator to generate a random password.

You can also assign the Friend Account to a group.

Select the private albums you allow this Friend account to access. Note that the Friend Account will need to login with the email address and password you’ve set here to access the assigned private albums.

When you are ready, click on the Add button.
Note: The Address Book makes sending out "Tell A Friend" invitations easier because you can add email addresses to the “Recipient Email” field directly from your Address Book.
Manage Address Book: Manage Friend
Your Hosted Gallery Address Book allows you to manage your friends.

Click on the Manage Address Book link on the gallery sidebar.

Click on the Edit link for the friend profile you want to edit. This will open the Edit Friend page.

Make the necessary changes. If you are assigning a new password for this Friend account, make sure you use the Send login information to friend function to send a copy of the new password to the friend.

When you are ready, click on the Save button.
Note: You will not be able to change the Invitation Email Subscription option. This setting can only be changed via the Friend account's User Profile interface. If you need to change this setting, you will need to login to the Friend account to do so via the Edit User Info function.
Manage Address Book: Manage Friend
Your Hosted Gallery Address Book allows you to manage your friends.

Click on the Manage Address Book link on the gallery sidebar.

Click on the Add Group button.

Enter the Group Name.

When you are ready, click on the Add button.
Note: Once the new group has been added you will be able to assign friends to the group via the Add/Edit Friend functions.
Manage Address Book: Edit Group

Click on the Manage Address Book link on the gallery sidebar.

Click on the Manage Group link.

Click on the Edit link for the group you want to edit.

You can modify the group name and/or select friends to add to the group, or deselect friends to remove them from the group.

When you are ready, click on the Save button.
Note: Once the new group has been added you will be able to assign friends to the group via the Add/Edit Friend functions.
Manage Address Book: Remove Group

Click on the Manage Address Book link on the gallery sidebar.

Click on the Manage Group link.

Select the group(s) you would like to remove by checking the box next to the group.

Click on the Delete Selected Groups link at the bottom of the page.

A confirmation window will appear. Click Yes to finalize deletion.
Note: Deleting a Group does not automatically delete the friends in that group. Once you have deleted a group, all friends in that group will be filed under the All group category.
